Day 1 - Arrival in Istanbul

Arrive at Istanbul Ataturk Airport. Transfer to hotel. Dinner at guests' expense.

Day 2- Istanbul

After breakfast visit the Hagia Sophia Church, the 6th century Byzantine basilica, the largest church of its era and the architectural glory of the Byzantines; the Blue Mosque, 17th century imperial mosque famous for its six minarets as well as its interior blue tiles; Byzantine Hippodrome, now an open air exhibition park with a number of monuments where chariot races were once held and the Grand Bazaar. Day 3 - Istanbul / Ankara / Cappadocia

Following breakfast at the hotel, check out from the hotel for transfer to the airport for a early morning domestic flight to Ankara. Meeting at Ankara Esenboga Airport and visits in Ankara -the capital city of Turkey, including the Anatolian Civilization Museum, where archaeological pieces dating as far back as the prehistoric age are exhibited; the Mausoleum of Ataturk, where the founder of the Turkish Republic lies; and finally a visit to the Ancient Citadel. After lunch in Ankara depart for Cappadocia. Dinner at hotel in Cappadocia. (B-L-D)

Day 4 - Cappadocia

After breakfast a visit to the natural citadel of Uchisar; then visit the Subterrenean City of Kaymakli or Derinkuyu, built in the 7th century by Christians fleeing persecution, in which a visitor is able to descend several floor levels. After lunch, visit the Göreme Open Air Museum, the Cavusin; the Pasabag Valley, and finally Avanos Village. Shop for carpets. Dinner at hotel. (B-L-D)

Day 5 - Cappadocia / Konya / Pamukkale

Departure for Konya to visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana. Lunch en route to Pamukkale. Arrive in Pamukkale in the evening. Dinner at hotel (B-L-D)

Day 6 - Pamukkale / Aphrodisias / Kusadasi

After breakfast at hotel, first proceeding to The Ruins of Hierapolis, and visit to the antique city's Roman and early Christian remains, and Pamukkale's thermal cascades. Continue to Aphrodisias, lunch upon arrival, and then a visit to the antique city. Continue to Kusadasi. Dinner at hotel in Kusadasi. (B-L-D)

Day 7 - Kusadasi / Ephesus / Izmir

After breakfast first visits in the world-famous antique city of Ephesus, followed by a visit to the Shrine of Virgin Mary, where she lived her last years. After lunch dirive to Izmir. (B-L)

Day 8 - Departure

After breakfast transfer to Izmir ADB airport. End of services. (B)

In case the excursions are on the days that these attractions are closed, they might either be skipped or substituted with other attractions depending on the convenience of the program's schedule .
  • Cappadocia to Pamukkale is a long leg (about 10 hours including visits and stops), and guests must be informed.
